I'm Sinja Bloeme, a freelance stylist (Stylingsinja), image collector & design lover from Amsterdam. This blog is about the everyday things that inspire me..

It amazes me every day how much beauty there is around us. And it's everywhere; right in front of you, on the streets. On my blog I try to collect all that beauty and share it with you.

Notes Back in time with the new website Straet View
Straet View gives you the opportunity to have a look at how the streets of Amsterdam looked like in the Golden Age…
This is part of the new exhibition The Atlases in the National Maritime Museum. The exhibition shows maps and atlases produced between 1482 and 1665, in total 19 atlases are digitalized and you can scroll through them on two screens in the exhibition area.
Always love an old map…

Notes Thanks for visiting Vroege Vogels @Hutspot020
Last Saturday, April 19, was the first edition of Vroege Vogels event in the popular concept store Hutspot in Amsterdam and I was there too! (with my still photography and postcards). ‘Vroege Vogels’, also translated as ‘Early Birds’, is an offline platform for rising talents in design, fashion and art.  Keep an eye on Vroege Vogels for the next event, who knows I am back!
In the meantime you can order everything by email (also the postcards). Check out sinjabloeme.nl for more information or if you have any further questions!
By the way: the video of Vroege Vogels will follow soon!

    Harry is in town!

It’s quite a story, but it all started with Harry, the granddad of Annouk Post (YOI). He inspired her to find her tune. In the summer of 2010 Annouk told Marieke Vinck and Charlotte van Waes (Charlie + Mary) about Harry, and they decided to get involved with the ‘Harry revolution’ in a heartbeat.

The three ladies share a passion for fashion and have been pioneering in the field of sustainable and ethical fashion since 2004. So they started the fairtrade label called ‘Harry’.

The first product of ‘Harry’ is Harry’s gift; a white tank top (in male and female variant) and a book “Harry’s Urban Fairy Tale”. For € 34.95 you have a sustainable and fairtrade basic garment and the book of Harry.

To celebrate the launch of ‘Harry’, Charlie + Mary and YOI opened Harry’s Gallery Club with a photography exhibition called ‘Wall of Tunes’. This exhibition portraits people who share ‘their tune’, photographed by the Amsterdam based photographer Dim Balsem.

Visit the Wall of Tunes exhibition between April 11th and June 11th for your own dosis of tune inspiration at the Charlie + Mary conceptstore in Amsterdam.

For more program details click hereHarry’s gifts can be (pre-)ordered via the Charlie+Mary webshop.
